I finished
The Casual Vacancy a bit ago. Loved it. If I had more time right now I would expand upon "loved it" but I don't. But more than the book, I love J.K. Rowling and here are two more reason why. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
She's completely brilliant and I love how she and Jon banter back and forth. I would love for her to have a chat with the conservative dipshits in this country about welfare and, you know, not moving all your money to the Caymans to avoid taxes.
So much smart and funny happening at that news desk. She's a magical person, I am convinced, because she's never a let down. You never think, "wow she wrote amazing books but she's sort of dullsville isn't she?" Nope never.
i loved it too! i was surprised at how many 1 star reviews it received on amazon. i couldn't put it down b/c she would give you just bits of each character then move to another. i had to keep reading to find out more, more more! her john stewart interview convinced me to read it as the blurb on the back is pretty terrible. it make the book sound so dull. listening to her actually talk about it made it sound much more interesting.
